主要职责:
通过课堂观察,定期的测验对每个孩子的学习进度进行监督,检查学员的家庭作业。
课前用双语向学员介绍课程内容,课后用双语和学员沟通课程内容接受程度。
定期与家长通过电话,电子邮件,书面报告,家长会等形式与家长交流,使之了解孩子的学习进度以及如何帮助他们的孩子在家学习英语。
就家长们关于接送孩子的时间,孩子的学习进度,课堂表现,在家如何参与练习活动等问题进行解答。
定期进行家长会,就家长如何协助与促进孩子的英语学习进行沟通交流。
记录好学员的学习进度记家长沟通记录。与课程顾问沟通,促进学员续课及新学员推荐。
用双语讲述故事的形式来帮助小学员学习英语。
正确使用迪士尼英语的器材和系统,每日更新家长在线交流平台的相关内容。
照顾小学员,通常2岁儿童班不超过8人,3岁儿童班不超过12人,4~12岁班不超过15人。
协助外籍培训师进行课堂管理。
组织并参与夏令营和冬令营等附加课程。
在周会上和语言学习总监进行沟通所有关于学生和教学管理的事宜。
配合参与必要的课堂外教学活动、市场推广活动或中心举办的活动。
职位要求:
幼儿英语教学经验,持有证书或学历背景优先考虑。
英语出色,中文标准。
具有其他专长,如音乐、舞蹈、艺术和表演者优先考虑。
具有2~3岁幼儿护理经验者优先考虑。
Position Overview
Disney is looking for exceptional native Chinese English language trainers to help instruct children aged 2-12 at Disney English Language Learning Centers in Shanghai. The Assistant Trainers will work alongside a native speaking English language Trainer and use an innovative and immersive Disney program, leveraging Disney's beloved characters, stories, songs, animation and other materials, to provide a highly engaging and effective premium learning experience. The assistant trainer will interact with parents both in person and online through a robust and informative Parent Portal web site.
The English Language Assistant Trainer reports to the Language Learning Director (LLD) in the Disney English Learning Center.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively assess each child's learning progress through informal class observation, careful evaluation of periodic formal assessment scores for both single assessments and over time, and through daily review of each child's home practice assignments.
Quickly bilingually introduce each day's learning targets with low-level learners at the beginning of lessons and bilingually check for understanding at the end of lessons.
Regularly maintain contact with parents by telephone, e-mail, hand written report cards, and in Parent-Trainer Conferences in order to keep them informed as to their child's learning progress and behavior and to give recommendations to parents regarding how to aid their child's English learning at home.
Answer parents' questions at all child pick-up and drop-off times regarding children's language learning progress, classroom behavior, and to what degree the child is engaging in home practice activities.
Occasionally meet with parents individually or in small groups to discuss with them tips and ideas as to how parents can further assist and facilitate their children's English learning.
Keep record of children's learning progress and parent contact history. Communicate to course consultant on regular basis and provide support for parents; renewal and referral decision.
Become proficient in bilingual storytelling for children using storytelling techniques proven to aid young learners in their language learning process.
Become proficient in occasionally delivering entire Disney English interactive lessons using scripted printed materials, hands-on learning aids, multimedia and a variety of audio-visual aids. There is emphasis on dialogue, story-telling, singing and role-playing, but more formal exercises, language games and literature are also used.
Become proficient in the use of Disney English's digital cameras, audio recording devices, and data entry systems in order to efficiently collect and input information into the Company's Parent Portal system on a daily basis.
Provide basic child care services to individual children or to groups of up to 8 two-year-olds, 12 three-year-olds, or 15 four- to twelve-year-olds.
Assist Foreign Trainers with classroom management on an as-needed basis should a Foreign Trainer need translation support or local cultural knowledge/expertise in order to effectively manage his or her classes.
Play an instrumental role in organizing and delivering special supplementary programs, such as Summer Camps and Winter Camps on a seasonal basis.
Attend weekly meetings with the LLD to communicate all pertinent learner and classroom management issues.
Participate in outside of classroom academic, marketing and Center social events as needed
Job Qualifications:
Strong education, certification, and at least 3 years prior local experience teaching English to young children
Very strong English and Standard Chinese language ability
Additional strengths in children's music, dance, art, and drama strongly preferred
Prior experience in caring for two- to three-year-olds preferred
