Position: Audio-Video Analyst (Shanghai)

 

Overview

The TE Connectivity Global Infrastructure and Operations organization designs, builds, delivers, and supports the global network and infrastructure applications on which our company runs. As a global service organization, we service an audience of 40,000 network users across the globe, managing the network, desktops, and a wide range of communication, collaboration, and knowledge management tools.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a full-time analyst to perform solution design, configuration, administration, and support duties to include:

•     Live event production and broadcasting

•     Video capture, encoding, and publishing

•     Delivery and administration of rich media content

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

•     Bachelors Degree in Information Science, Broadcast Engineering or equivalent.

•     General knowledge of:

o     Rich Media / Video Standards

o     Content encoding

o     Media Streaming

o     Rich media editing

o     Media libraries and content indexing

o     Networking basics and delivery of information over the network

•     Ability to work as part of an Information Technology team to:

o     Bring a consistent understanding and approach to media capture, publishing, management, and delivery

o     Design and document rich media related solutions

o     Assist with the implementation and maintenance of rich media systems

o     Interact with all levels of employees and management to coordinate successful broadcast or recorded events and production of rich media content

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•     Excellent communication, organization, and management skills including strong English speaking skills

•     Ability to establish, develop, and maintain relationships with colleagues across diverse organizations

•     Ability to work flexible hours to interact with global team members in varying time-zones

•     Knowledge and experience with current and future trends in technology and systems developed for rich media content

•     Experience training users and facilitating knowledge transfer to assist customers in the process of creating and publishing rich media content.

•     Excellent self starter with very good organizational capabilities

•     Experience in Media Streaming servers, encoding, event production is a plus
