Headquartered in Benton Harbor, Michigan in the USA, Whirlpool is currently on of the largest home appliance manufacturers in the world. Globally, we have 9 international brands, employ over 70,000 people, and have over 70 manufacturing and R&D centers. We are in over 13 countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, China, Brazil, and India and our total global annual sales exceed 18 billion USD.
Whirlpool China
In 1994, the Whirlpool Corporation made a long time strategic plan to enter the China market. The corporation started by opening modern manufacturing and international R&D centers based on our global platform in Beijing, Shanghai, Shunde, and other strategic locations. As well, corporation offices and repair centers were also set up nationally in major cities across China.
Over the years, Whirlpool has continuously strived to give Chinese consumers the best service and innovative leading edge home appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, and integrated kitchen products. In 2005, Whirlpool China Investment LTD and the Regional Head Office for Whirlpool Asia Pacific started operations in Shanghai. This was a big step for Whirlpool in Asia but more importantly at the same time it solidified Whirlpools long term commitment to stay in China for the foreseeable future.
