Learning directly from some of the most respected and highly qualified people in the industry, you’ll navigate your way through a series of attachments, each one approximately 12 weeks long.
Whether you choose Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing or Supply Chain Planning and Control, you’ll get support from institutional mentors and managers within your function. They will help you with career choices and identify your core skills and interests.
Professional Excellence Programme – Purchasing
Rolls-Royce is a business that depends on parts from other manufacturers. In fact, we have around 660 preferred suppliers right across the globe. Purchasing spans our entire operation and can deliver real value throughout the supply chain.
Combining on-the-job learning with modular training and project work, you’ll get involved in everything from researching and evaluating potential new sources, through every stage of the contract negotiation process, to working with established suppliers to help them improve their performance.
Expect to spend time in various Rolls-Royce locations around the world as you work towards accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or the equivalent in your region.
- Minimum of a second-upper class Bachelor degree or equivalent.
- Must be globally mobile.
- Previous relevant work experience desirable (e.g. internship, experience in Purchasing)
- Previous demonstrated leadership experience.
- Experience of having lived, worked or studied in another country would be advantageous.
- Ability to speak a language other than English would be advantageous.
