The role

Your primary goal as Sales Manager- Engineering will be to maximize sales for a British engineering firm in China. You will be responsible for identifying potential accounts, contacting them and securing sales. The majority of these accounts are likely to be large domestic and international engineering firms.

This role has a great deal of development opportunity and if you prove yourself to be highly capable then you will be able to move into roles of ever greater opportunity.

Responsibilities

Your performance will be measured by your monthly sales results. You'll receive a monthly pre-tax salary of between RMB 10,000 and 15,000, but the majority of your income is likely to come from sales commission.

Your daily work is likely to include: communicating with existing accounts; identifying and contacting potential accounts; and finding innovative ways to increase sales.

You will be based primarily in Beijing but will also need to travel regularly to meet accounts throughout China.

Additional requirements for this job are that:

- an engineering background is essential, so that you are able to fully understand the products that you are dealing with

- you should be intelligent and determined, so that you can successfully identify and secure new accounts

- you should have a perfectionist-type character that enables you to truly maximize your results

- you should be very confident at contacting and meeting new people

The role

Your primary goal as Sales Manager- Publishing will be to maximize sales of our English-language publishing clients in China. The clients you will be responsible for will include Lonely Planet, as well as two to three other academic and high-end publishers. The products are primarily physical books, but also include e-books and apps.

This role has a great deal of development opportunity and if you prove yourself to be highly capable then you will be able to move into roles of ever greater opportunity.

Your daily work is likely to include: communicating with existing accounts; identifying and contacting potential accounts; and finding innovative ways to increase sales. You will be based primarily in Beijing but will also need to travel to meet accounts, primarily in Shanghai and Guangzhou.
