SAP BusinessObjects Information Management (IM) products allow you to efficiently design ETL processes, provide a scalable enterprise-level data integration platform (Data Integrator) and Metadata Management with trusted data and analysis capabilities.
IM Quality Assurance team is seeking for passionate quality assurance interns that can be part of a high-performing team essential to the quality and timely delivery of our products.
Position: Software Quality Assurance Intern
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, EE or foreign degree equivalent.
- Knowledgeable in operating Windows and/or UNIX development environments
- Knowledgeable with RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, and ODBC interfaces.
- Knowledge in testing methodologies, design and implementation.
- Debugging and problem solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and well organized.
- Proficient in testing products according to company's QA process, methodology and automation test tools.
- Ability to self-learn, work on multi-tasking and act on own initiative are required.
- Good verbal/written English communication skill.
- Willing to work with remote team in different time zone.
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Data Integration (ETL) knowledge or Data Warehousing concept is a plus.
- Knowledge on automation test is a plus.
- Knowledge in Java, XML is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain the hardware and software on various Windows and UNIX testing environments.
- Assure product quality with thorough test coverage justified by well-defined tools/metrics.
- Participate in test case creation and execution, and define areas for further improvement.
- Develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test procedures
- Analyze the test failure and narrow down area of problem.
- Report, track, and manage defect resolution to the closure.
- Collaborate closely with development team, test products through entire release cycle.
- Communicate plan, progress, and issues in a timely manner.
- Attendance of meetings, participate in reviews, report and track defect issues.
