Department Description

     The deparment evaluates, develops, and executes highly sophisticated tools to address quality issues in well known Oracle database. This is a small and focused team of hightly talented engineers with development background. Each engineer has in depth knowledge of his/her own area.

 

 

 

 Current focus areas of the group are the following :

- database security and vulnerability

- runtime memory checking

- code coverage and analysis

- test selection

- web-based quality reporting and analysis

 

 

 

Brief Posting Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

 

 

 

Detailed Description

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.  1 year of software engineering or related experience.

 

 

 

Additional Details

  The position requires mentality and technical skills. It is expected the skill sets can be successfully applied to eliminate software quality issues. The technical challenge is to be creative and develop intelligent software tools to solve hard issues in software security and quality. This requires both the broad knowledge of software system in network, OS, the database, and the in-depth knowledge of software runtime environments. The exploration of data mining, rule-based analysis, and software algorithms are critical in creating smart tools to effectively ensure product quality.

 

 

 

BS/MS in Computer Science from elite universities

Passion for software tools required

good communication skills

c/c++, Java, SQL, PLSQL, Perl, Shell experience preferred

Linux experience preferred
