Process Engineer （2）

Department: Primary Metals & Power Industries
Reports to Technical Manager
Location: Chengde City, Hebei Province, China

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

• Support the Technical Manager in monitoringthe operational performance of the Water-related Processes and Facilities.
• Support the Technical Manager in the production of Improvement Plans for the achievement of the Performance Improvement Targets for water quality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participate in the drafting of Improvement Plansfor the sampling and frequency of laboratory testing.
2. Participate in the drafting of Improvement Plans for the installation of on-line water quality monitoring instrumentation including technical specification and calibration.
3. Support the ongoing maintenance and development of the mass balance for the Water-related Processes and Facilities.
4. Support the ongoing maintenance and development of the OPEX Model for the Water-related Processes and Facilities.
5. Monitorthe achievement of the Performance Improvement Targets for water quality and production of Improvement Plans for any non-compliance.
6. Participate in the production oftechnical specifications for chemicals/consumables, and evaluation of the performance of procured chemicals/consumables.
7. Support production of technical reports for submission within Veolia Water and the Client.
8. Provide technical support to the design, construction, installation and start-up of capital improvement projects.
9. Undertake such other duties and project assignments in Chengde or at locations as directed by the Technical Manager or Executive Management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

1. Education and Training
   • Bachelor degree inScience or Engineering (environment, water and wastewatertreatmentor chemistry) or above education.
2. Experience:
   • N/A
3. Specific knowledge or requirements:
   • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software
   • Intermediate level report writing skills in English and Chinese
   • English skills (written and spoken) to level CET6 or above with basic interpreting skills
   • Some understanding of occupational health and safety knowledge for the operation of water treatment processes and facilities.
