IBM GDC - Software Lead Analyst (Distributed Platforms)

[B]Primary Responsibilities:[/B]
Software License Management - Has overall responsibility for Entitlements baseline data accuracy, integrity, accurate reconciliation of entitlements against

installed inventory, and discrepancy closure, on Distributed Platforms (Intel, UNIX, Linux etc.)

[B]Duties:[/B]
o  Update Hardware data repository upon request
o  Validate and register software entitlement data to system in a timely manner
o  Maintain software entitlement repository and renew before software expiration
o  Compare software entitlement data to installed software data to identify variances

[B]Qualifications:[/B]
Mandatory:
o  Fluent spoken and written English and good communication skills
o  Ability to follow work instructions and execute with consistency
o  Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
o  Strong analytical skills
o  Eye for details
o  Strong time management skill

Preferred:
o  General understanding of industry standard software vendors, and software contract T's & C's
o  Software Asset Tracking & License Management experience
o  Experience in corporate / supply chain business systems; eg. SW license / contract management, Procurement, fulfilment, Order management
o  Strong Excel operational skills eg. Navigation, formatting, formulas/functions, writing Macro using VBA.
o  Ability to operate standard IBM intranet tools
o  Ability to multi-task

Qualifications (Education/Major/Certificates): Bachelor degree major in IT, Management, or English.

[B]Job Responsibilities:[/B]
Asset Financial and Management Services include:
>>    Maintain the financial asset repository which includes administration of depreciation information, asset end of use/life management and disposal.
>>    Manage IBM's hardware asset disposal process which is triggered by a disposal request from an IBM employee. arrange pick up into the designated warehouse

and perform reconciliation activities associated with the reconciliation between assets requested for disposal and those received into the warehouse.
>>    Responsible for managing the baselines associated with hardware assets under maintenance contract, which include communicating with account team,

maintenancecontract expiry dates to facilitate the pro active management of maintenance contracts.
>>    Facilitate the annual Physical Inventory Taking(PIT) for IBM owned assets as required, include ensuring the pre-PIT activities carried out through the

year,coordination of the PIT during review, and supporting IBM employees manage their assets through the Asset Financial and Management Services help desk.

>>    Asset Management (reconciliation) Background preferred
>>    Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, fluent spoken and written English
>>    Strong Excel skills eg. Navigation, formatting, copy/paste, formula
>>    Adequate MS Access operational skills (ie. queries/matching)
>>    Strong data analytical skills
>>    2-3 year working experience preferred.

[B]Job Responsibilities:[/B]
This position is responsible for tracking and managing assets throughout hardware asset life cycle,  which includes maintaining an accurate hardware inventory on behalf of commercial customer accounts.
>>    Maintain stability and integrity of the baseline asset records for all trackable assets in the asset database in a timely manner
>>    Ensuring accuracy, timeliness and retention of reports, measurements and documentation to contribute to audit readiness of accounts
>>    Monthly Performance Metrics reflect timely asset updates in the database and issue resolution
>>    Maintain process and procedure documentation for associated processes.

>>    Asset Management (or inventory / stock management) Background preferred
>>    Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, fluent spoken and written English
