Kaye Scholer LLP is a New York based law firm with approximately 500 lawyers in nine offices around the world. Our global transaction and litigation capability covers a multitude of practices in areas including litigation, corporate, real estate, business reorganization, tax, and intellectual property.
Kaye Scholer LLP has been actively involved in the PRC since 1979 when we advised American and European multinational corporations regarding investments following the PRC's opening to the outside world, and we established our registered representative office in Shanghai in 1998. Our Shanghai office is currently staffed by approximately 20 legal professionals and support staff.
The firm is seeking a number of interns to join our Shanghai legal team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interns will be expected to work with a team of senior consultants and attorneys on FDI, M&A, venture capital, and private equity transactions.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- 2nd-year student obtaining LLM or JM from a top Chinese law school with a GPA average of 3.5 or above;
- Experience as a legal intern in a foreign law firm is preferred;
- A high level of English proficiency and native Mandarin speaker; and
- Diligent, team player, good organizational skills, and self-motivated.
