优美科富虹（湖南）锌业有限公司是比利时优美科集团在湘投资的第一家独资企业，公司位于湖南省长沙市望城区星城镇，总投资额2800万美金，占地面积约两万平方米，是国内最大的锌粉生产厂，也是湖南省出口创汇大户之一。公司的产品超细锌粉主要用于防腐油漆，镀锌产品等。由于成功的经营，富虹产品的高品质使其在国内外市场上备受青睐，富虹现有锌粉生产能力为年产2.2万吨。2006年公司完成锌粉销售两万多吨，完成销售额逾五个亿，实现利税近叁千万。
优美科集团（Umicore）是比利时的一家上市公司，也是一家全球性的大型跨国集团公司。目前有约17000员工服务于全球50多个工厂。

Umicore Hunan Fuhong Zinc Chemicals Co., Ltd, a wholly foreign-invested subsidiary of Umicore, belongs to the BU Zinc Chemicals/BL Fine Zinc Powders. Producing Fine Zinc Powder mainly used for container paint, marine paint and protective coating, and it is the leader in the Chinese market with 25 % market share.
Umicore, a listed corporation in Belgium, is a transnational group committed to the production and sales of non-ferrous metal, and also one of the giants among the world non-ferrous metal enterprises. It focuses on application areas where its expertise in materials science, chemistry and metallurgy makes a real difference.
In 1996, Fuhong set-up and invested by Taiwanese, major share owned by Taiwan Yungchi, the biggest Industrial Paint Producer in Taiwan. In 2001, Umicore started negotiation to acquire the company, and in the second year Fuhong became a subsidiary of Umicore.
Fuhong is now one of the largest ultra-thin zinc powder manufacturers and the main production base of this product in China. Fuhong has 14 furnaces, 2 classifiers and 2 coal gas generators, has the capacity of 20,000 t/a paint grade dust, capacity is increasing in order to serve an increased demand from the customers. Fuhong's products are very popular on domestic and overseas markets for their high quality. The current output of Fuhong's zinc powder is 21,000 tons per year.
