Position: Research Fellow in Energy and Resource Efficiency

Qualifications:
Essential: Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental engineering Process Engineering, or a related discipline; Effective laboratory note taking and logging of data; Strong organizational skills and project management; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills in English; Significant demonstrated ability of team work; Experience of publication of academic journal papers and reports; Demonstrated creativity and leadership in problem solving; Self-motivated; Ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; IELTS 6.0
Desirable: PhD (or equivalent) with background in energy or particle separation; Computer modeling and/or programming skills; Use of CFD packages, such as Fluent. Knowledge of Energy production technologies or recycling technologies; Liaising with external partners; Experience of working with liberation and separation systems or energy production technologies; Creative, with high interest in research and development of energy related technologies.
Salary & Benefits: 178,000RMB – 224,000RMB per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
·To produce high-quality research reports and/or publications from research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and other reputable outlets for the wider academic community.
·To attend and present research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the Energy and Resource Efficiency research group, and the Faculty of Engineering.
·To lead activities designed to develop collaborative research with research colleagues and to actively develop appropriate external contacts and networks relevant for future collaboration and funding opportunities.
·To provide guidance and support to any students associated with the research area.
·To take responsibility for resolving problems affecting the delivery of research projects and planning future research projects that might emerge from the current project.
·To assist supervisor in management of research activities and also in funding application to internal and external sources.
