Second-quarter 2012 earnings
Second-quarter 2012 firmwide net income was US$5.0 billion, compared to net income of US$5.4 billion in the second-quarter 2011. Earnings per share were US$1.21 for second-quarter 2012, compared with US$1.27 for second-quarter 2011.

Industry recognition
J.P. Morgan topped numerous rankings for the first half of 2012, according to Dealogic data, attesting to our strength as an ideal place for students to start their careers.
- Ranked #1 for global debt capital markets and equity capital markets revenue.
- Ranked #1 in the equity capital markets fee league table globally, with $530 million and an 8.1% share of industry revenues.
- Ranked #2 in global M&A volume.

Race for Charity Challenge supports employees' favorite charities. The Race for Charity is part of the Corporate Challenge - the largest corporate race series in the world - and helps employees raise awareness and funds for charity. Employees in Singapore, Chicago and New York competed as teams for a chance to win $5,000 for their selected charity. The winning organizations, based in Chicago, Dominican Republic, London, New York and Singapore, focus on children's education and wellness, treating debilitating health conditions, poverty alleviation and animal protection.
Employees bike 180 miles across Texas to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. More than 120 employees rode or volunteered with the BP MS 150, a cycling fundraiser benefiting 20,000 Texans living with MS. The two-day event is the largest of its kind in North America, with over 10,000 participants. The J.P. Morgan team raised more than $55,000, including a grant from Team J.P. Morgan, the firm's global employee engagement program.
