Polylink Cable Business Unit (CBU) founded in 2012, focus on Cable network products. CBU has the whole research and development system including the hardware department, FPGA design and verification department and the software development and test department. Excepting existing EOC projects, CBU spends much effort on the future cable access network research and development; we are dedicating ourselves to change the cable access networks.

Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop detailed software functional and design specifications.

Design, develop and maintain embedded networking software.

Develop and execute detail test and verification plan.

Demonstrate good teamwork across various teams.

Resolve design issues and support other engineer teams from platform's perspective.

Requirements

Must have skill/experiences

Strong C programming experience and debugging skills.

Good knowledge of operation systems such as Linux, Unix.

Strong debugging skills (GDB or register/memory level debugging a plus).

Working experience on TCP/IP network and protocols.

Good to have skill/experiences

Embedded system development and troubleshooting.

Device driver and register level programming.

Hands-on knowledge of a scripting language, TCL or PERL.

Knowledge of OOP in e.g. C++ or Java desired.

Router/switch data forwarding background (L2, L3) desired.

Hands-on knowledge of DSP Audio process.

Good English and Chinese communication skills.

Educational Background

Typically requires MSEE/CS/Automation Control
