Design Engineer
Location：Beijing
Department：BIEC
• Ensure preparation of new product design layouts in accordance with Group standards and in collaboration with Group R&T and Lead Engineering centers.
• Challenge design/construction based on detailed competition benchmark and new construction ideas in order to propose different scenarios.
• Monitor individual piece part sketches and models, drawing reviews with suppliers and realization follow-up (especially co-development of foundry tools and parts). Ensure the creation of released drawings for all required new parts (both in-house and outsourced) in the project and their diffusion.
• Organize all necessary prototypes realization and tests to perform accurate performance check and potential product design adjustments before product release for production.
• Ensure product follow-up based on modifications, regulations/certifications updates and continuous improvements during product lifetime.
Main Accountabilities:
• Degree: BA or higher in mechanical engineering or related field (materials, foundry processes…)
• Area-specific knowledge: experience in foundry parts design, in foundry tools and processes
• Languages: Fluent in English (both oral and written) and local language
• Skills: use of CAD softwares (IDEAS, NX preferred)
Requirements
• Evaluate customer requirements and establish technical specifications for new items from parts to high level assemblies to ensure proper fit and function of all components in projected prototype/product.
• Organize internal specification reviews, research and analyze competitor/ customer design proposals, specifications and characteristics to determine the feasibility of design concepts.
• Perform detailed product cost analysis per function and contribute to complete project costs follow-up
• Establish in collaboration with Quality department relevant tests to be performed for product release.
• Check with Process Engineering the transfer from Prototypes to zero series and serial production
Carry Out
Wet Surface Design Engineer
Location：Beijing
Department：BIEC
Main Accountabilities
• Ensure preparation of new product design layouts in accordance with Group standards and in collaboration with Group R&T and Lead Engineering centers.
• Challenge design/construction based on fluid simulation and wet surface developments tools s in order to propose different scenarios.
• Monitor individual wet surfaces 3D models, fluid simulations, improvements with design team and realization follow-up (development with Group R&T, design and project teams). Ensure the release of geometry for all required new parts in the project
• Organize all necessary prototypes realization and tests to perform accurate performance check and potential wet surfaces design adjustments before release.
• Skills: Very good computer skills and use of 3D design and fluid simulation softwares (ANSYS CFX and ICEM CFD preferred
Requirements
• Degree: Graduate Engineer/Master of Science possibly Ph.D in mechanical engineering or energy/process engineering
• Years/type of experience: >5 years experience in Pump/Chemical/
Mechanical/Automotive industry (experience in pump industry is an advantage not a must)
• Area-specific knowledge: knowledge of technical design, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics and very good knowledge of thermal and hydraulic turbomachines
• Languages: Good communication in English (both oral and written) and local language
Carry Out
