For Siemens Wuhan Innovation Center we are looking for a R&D Manager. Siemens Wuhan Innovation Center is the third innovation hub of Siemens Corporate Technology following Beijing and Shanghai. The center is aiming to drive innovations for complete green mobility and smart grid together with local technology partners and end customers.
 
What are my responsibilities?
• Supporting implementation of innovation programs aligned with the strategy and goals of the innovation center;
• Facilitating innovation events in collaboration with internal and external innovation partners;
• Coordination and support of project managers;
• Ensuring knowledge transfer across projects;
• Provision of pilot project ideas for collaboration between Siemens business units, local technology partners and end customers;
• Recruiting and transfer of activities as well as resource and competency management;
• Support for contribution to Performance Management Process e.g. target setting, evaluation and competency development for Project Managers and project staff in close cooperation with relevant person;
• Acquisition and utilization of knowledge concerning the Innovation trends in business and technology.
 
What do I need to qualify for this job?
• State-of-the-art technical knowledge and awareness of important trends in industrial automation, smart grid and mobility;
• Technical knowledge on how computer, communication and control systems interrelate with each other;
• Knowledge of cross-functional technologies like Internet of Things;
• Understanding of industrial business; Methods of discussion and cooperation with internal and external partners and customers; 
• Marketing, negotiation skills, value selling techniques for project acquisition;
• Team leadership, coaching, passionate and driven for innovation;
• English
• Experience: minimum of 3 to 5 years of technical AND business management experience;
• Demonstrated skills and interest in leadership and in project management and integration across functional lines;
• Experience/familiarity with innovation for industrial business is highly desirable;

• Well versed in CC and experienced in software analysis, data structure and algorithm design and development.
• Proven record in research, innovative thinking, real world problem solving and a hands-on, can-do mentality.

• Research experience in healthcare solutions is a strong plus to the position.

What do I need to qualify for this job? 
• Doctor degree and above in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, control engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• More than 5 years experience in the technical area of mechatronics, or mechanical engineering, or precision instruments, or automation
• Basic knowledge in mechanical integrity and materials, including dimensioning, material properties and FEA; or basic knowledge in electric hardware and firmware, including embedded system design and testing
• Advanced knowledge and experience in two or more of next qualifications:
- Good command of FEA tool and CAD/CAE software
- Rich working experience in FEA analysis and optimization; experience in flow and thermal simulation is good plus
- Excellent C/C programming skills
- Be familiar with MCU/DSP and RTOS (real time operation system)
- Firmware and software development experience in embedded systems
- PCB development experience with EDA tools
- Expertise in FPGA coding and simulation is required
• Working experience in multinational company, or abroad will be a plus
