Explore Nomura is an opportunity to gain a headstart into the world of investment banking - and learn the skills necessary for success.
Through our program’s focus on our investment banking, global markets and corporate infrastructure divisions, you will have the chance to experience some of the most important business functions within an investment bank to gain a truly rounded understanding of our environment.
Participation in Explore Nomura will give you a distinctive vantage point from which to begin investigating an exciting career in investment banking.
What's in it for you?
Our program provides students with a valuable insight into investment banking and Nomura – our businesses, strategy, culture, people and values. The 2-day program consists of an industry and business overview, product and soft skills training, skills sessions and networking events with junior and senior employees – all designed to help you develop your financial services and leadership skills.
Students who are selected to participate in Explore Nomura will also have the opportunity to be considered for a fast-track interview process for our 2013 summer internship program.
You will have the opportunity to:
• Increase your exposure to investment banking and understand the fundamental practices and principles of the business.
• Gain exposure to a fast paced, high energy environment
• Cultivate valuable career development skills
• Learn the importance of networking
• Meet new people in your peer group
When is it?
The program runs from Tuesday 4th – Wednesday 5th June 2013
Who should apply?
If you have ever wondered what investment banking entails, of if you are curious to find out whether working in an investment bank is really for you, this is the perfect opportunity. We are seeking high achieving individuals who bring a track record of initiative, leadership and teamwork. Explore Nomura is open to all first year students (or second year students in a four-year program) graduating in 2015 from a Hong Kong university with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
Practical Information
• The program is only open to Hong Kong-based students
• Any degree discipline is welcome but we would expect you to have a genuine interest in a career in the financial services field
• You must be due to graduate in 2015
• Typical working hours 9am-6pm (plus a social event one evening)
