SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities
? Develop application software/GUI for optical transceiver development, debugging, and characterization.
? Support firmware engineer and module test engineer with GUI for firmware development and module testing.
? Work with Finisar global software/firmware organization and follow the Finisar processes of software architecture, development, debugging, optimizing, and validation.
? Support Finisar Shanghai site new product development and existing product sustaining engineering.
? Work with teams on other sites worldwide as part of the global software/firmware support.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
? BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required
? At least 2 years hands-on experiences with .NET based application development
? Strong programming skills in C# or/and C
? Familiar with at least one commercial DBMS with SQL programming experience
? Familiar with OOA/OOD, design patterns.
? Familiar with embedded system and firmware development will be an advantage
? Good verbal and written communication skills
? Must be a good team player, self-motivated and able to work independently
? Have strong problem solving ability, is able to find creative solutions to challenging technical problems
