Overview:

Our Beijing office has two openings for entry level professionals, trained in the field of Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology, seeking a challenging career with a growth-oriented company committed to providing quality services to clients.  The position would suit graduates with up to 2 years experience.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced leaders in geotechnical investigation, field rock engineering/engineering geology, slope stability, earth dams, and hydrogeology.

 
The major focus and responsibilities of this position include:

• Undertake geotechnical investigations; 
• Work with field technicians and (earthworks and drilling) subcontractors; 
• Assist project managers with assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions; 
• Assist with compilation of data, interpreting results and basic report writing;
• Support of other engineering areas, such as hydrogeology, water resources and environmental engineering and remediation etc; 
• Complete other tasks as requested by supervisor or project managers;  and
• Undertake assignments that may involve travel and periods of time away from home office

Responsibilities:

You will need to possess the following qualifications/attributes:

• Master’s (preferred)/Bachelor’s(required) degree(s) in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering or Engineering Geology with mining background preferred; 
• Self motivated and well organized; 
• Good Chinese and English oral presentation and report writing skills;
• Experience working in a design institute or in consulting environment is preferred;
• Ability to work alone and with a team;
• A strong ”safety first” focus.
