Description:
Shared Engineering Services is a new organization focused on investing enhanced design and manufacturing engineering for PC products working across business unit functions (R&D, Supply Chain, TCE&Q, etc.) and product teams. It provides the core engineering necessary to enable inherit quality and successful product launches from lab to ramp.
Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies and evaluates materials, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging. Conducts feasibility, design margin and validation analysis and empirical testing on new and modified designs. Leads and/or assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel and/or partner organizations in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication, and production tooling.
Responsibilities:
This is an entry level Mechanical/Material Engineer Position. Focus Skills in PC hardware design and manufacturability.
- Provide analytical support to R&D and Supply chain team.
- Evaluate and review new PC product designs including tolerance analysis, stack-up, and other mechanical sub systems to ensure lab to product ramp on assembly line.
- Working with multiple project teams such as mechanical hardware engineers, internal / outsourced development partners, responsible for all stages of mechanical development for complex products and platforms including solution design, validation, tooling and testing.
- Support on the PC new material investigation and cosmetic issue study.
- Expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical design and development.
- Provide tangible feedback to improve product quality.
- Provide innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the mechanical design organization.
Qualifications
- Fresh Graduate, Master degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering.
- Excellent English Communication and networking skills.
- Using ProEngineer or other 3D CAD software as a mechanical design tool.
- Quick Learner and Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Can work under pressure and able to travel.
