研究背景介绍
Research Associate (RA)
Disney Research China is looking for graduate-level students and exceptional undergraduates to contribute to the Virtual Building “Parts List” Research Project. Student Research Associates (RAs) will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Research Team Leads to research, design, analyze, and evaluate schemas for a virtual building “parts list” and to develop 3D parts libraries for one or more buildings. Students will start with an already-constructed model of a facility to decompose into individual building parts, adding more 3D geometry and tagging attributes as needed. With this parts library, students will then reconstruct a logical organization scheme for a specific building and make generalizations for different building types. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with leading professors and researchers from internationally-renowned schools such as Tongji University (China) and Stanford University (USA), as well as partners from leading companies in the industry.
Research Associates are expected to work 20-40 hours per week during summer months (from July to September 2013). Undergraduate students will be paid 18 RMB per hour and graduate students will be paid 20 RMB per hour. Selected RAs will be invited to extend the internship beyond September at a commitment level to be agreed-upon by the RA and PI.
