The Climate and Environment Services Group (CESG) is a new wholly owned foreign enterprise (WOFE) working in Shanghai.
CESG has a focus on developing countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa. It aims to support governmental and non-governmental organizations to formulate and implement economic and social development policies, programs and projects which contribute to the mitigation of Greenhouse Gasses while at the same time contributing to the improvement of the local environment. CESG has a special focus on the transport sector.
CESG services in the field of sustainable low carbon transport include:
• Collection and analysis of transport related data
• Formulation of sustainable low carbon transport policies and strategies
• Carbon financing solutions for the transport sector
• Institutional Development and Capacity Building for Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport

Researcher Transport and Climate Change (full time)

CESG is looking for:
Researcher Transport and Climate Change (full time)
Tasks of the Researcher will include amongst others:
•Collection and analysis of data on transport and climate change in China, other developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America;
• Documentation of effective sustainable, low carbon transport policies, programs and projects in China, Asia, Africa and Latin America;
• Provide inputs to ongoing projects by CESG.
Successful candidates will:
•have an undergraduate or graduate degree in Transport or related field of studies (e.g. environmental or development studies) from a reputable university in Shanghai;
•proven capacity to conduct independent (on-line) research in English and Chinese;
•ability to summarize research in documents, spreadsheets and power point presentations;
•excellent control of spoken and written English;
Successful candidate will receive initially a contract for one year, which can be renewable upon review of performance. The contract will be on a full time basis. Salary will be set at a competitive level.
