The Internship Program

The CNIBR internship program provides students with various backgrounds the opportunity to apply their textbook knowledge in an industry environment and obtain practical experience through working on a particular project under an experienced mentor for a 3 to 6 months period. The areas include:

• Discovery Biology
• Discovery Chemistry
• Pharmacology
• Biologics
• Translational Medicine
• Vaccine Research
• Business and support functions

Requirements

In order to make the intern program a rewarding experience for both the students and CNIBR, candidates need to meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered for Internship Program:

• For business and support functions- candidates who have completed their sophomore year (second year) in college or university
• For research functions, Master or PhD candidates who have completed their first year study
• All candidates must retain the status of student during the entire internship
• With GPA (Grade Point Average> 3.0 (in 4.0 system) or >80 (in 100 system).

Application

In general, the CNIBR internship program starts in May and ends latest in December. To apply, applicants need to submit, along with your resume and transcripts, a cover letter specifying your areas of interest, relevant completed coursework and describe any past research or laboratory experience and known techniques (if not on your resume). Successful applicants will be notified normally within 1 month after your application submission depending on the availability of suitable intern projects. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to directly notify candidates who have not been selected.
