Commercial Banking

With dedicated Relationship Managers and Business Specialists providing local support and advice in over 60 countries and territories, HSBC helps customers make the most of opportunities for their businesses.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Business Development Officer. In this role, you will:

2  Develop basic knowledge and skills through classroom and on-the-job training in the areas of HSBC’s organizational structure, banking systems, lending concepts and trade business

2  Grow the customer base by acquiring new customers and manage the existing customer portfolio with emphasis on deposit growth and usage of transactional banking products / services.

2  Ensure good banking disciplines and safeguards the bank from potential loss due to non-compliance with local regulations/procedures.

2  Increase HSBC brand recognition and assist Relationship Manager CMB in making HSBC the leading foreign bank in the local place

2  Maintain and observe Regulatory, Compliance & Operational Risk as well as Internal Controls (Operational Risk / Compliance / FIM requirements)

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

2  Bachelor degree or above, majored in accounting, finance or related discipline

2  Business drive with strong self motivation to acquire and develop new customers;

2  Presentable, out-going and easy to build rapport;

2  Ambition to develop his / her career with HSBC.

2  Customer oriented mind set

2  Analytical skill

2  General knowledge on banking products 

2  Interpersonal & communication skills
