Sandvik in Shanghai Zhabei is seeking for a Reporting Services Developer. Sandvik is a high-technology, engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading position within selected areas. The position would directly report to Development Team Lead Reporting, below please refer to the job description:
Key performance areas:
· Converting business requirements to system design
· Developing complex code to meet the system design requirements
· Optimizing and administrating existing queries
· Working in an environment with 80% development and 20% production support
· Writing SSRS reports, stored procedures, table alterations, functions, views, selects, joins, etc.
· Ability to work in small, rapid-development teams
· Day to day support of the reporting solutions, including handling user requests, ad-hoc queries, report requests, monitoring of exceptions logs, data extracts, etc.
Your profile:
· A Bachelor degree in Computer Science is preferred, demonstrated experience is a must
· A minimum of two years of experience as an Microsoft SQL programmer in a fast paced dynamic environment using a structured software development methodology
· Extensive T-SQL experience writing complex queries, views, stored procedures, etc.
· Extensive experience with designing and developing Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports
· Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008
· Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
· Have an open mind and easy to understand new routines and areas
· Willingness to learn and have a genuine interest in software development and new technologies
· Be structured and take pride in quality of deliverables
· Social behavior and strong verbal and written communication skills
· Power of initiative, open minded and not afraid of asking questions or get advises from other persons or groups
· Willingness to travel internationally for dedicated projects
Desired skills:
· Experience using SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services and OLAP tools
· Data warehouse design / modeling experience
· Experience working with Server level systems (Server 2003 or 2008) is an asset
· Any ERP (SAP, Oracle) package experience an asset
· Experience with different database environments is an asset
· Business process knowledge in the Manufacturing and Finance areas is an asset
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
