Longitude Management Consulting (LMC), member firm of The Taplow Group, is a China-based professional consulting firm that is focused on helping its clients to increase human capital and improve performance in their businesses of wide range scope.
To develop high quality leadership program that is based on the studies of traditional Chinese classical thoughts and Western leadership development theories, the company is looking for a young professional as an academic assistant for its managing partner. The position profile is as follows:
Job Responsibilities
1. Location: Shanghai
2. Working days: Full time or part time (at least 2 days in office per
week)
3. Reporting to: Managing Partner
4. Direct report(s): Nil
5. Responsibilities:
Ø Research
ü Collect research information in a concise manner for leadership program related academic studies
ü Provide academic support to the Managing Partner for studies on leadership development from a traditional Chinese philosophical perspective
Ø Documentation
ü Assist the Managing Partner in documenting academic or professional papers/books.
Qualifications
1. Age: 25 - 30 years old
2. Education: Ph. D or M.A. in Chinese Philosophy/Chinese History
3. Experience: Articles published in the relevant fields
4. Languages: Chinese & English
5. Skills and Knowledge:
Ø Solid knowledge in ancient Chinese classical works
Ø Excellent Chinese writing
Ø Good command of English, especially reading
comprehension in Western classical works
6. Personal Attributes:
Ø Good interpersonal and communication skills;
Ø Mature, open and confident personality;
Ø Strong learning capability;
Ø Professional in his/her approach;
Ø Pro-active, enthusiastic and driven;
Ø Organized with thorough follow-through.
