Job Opportunities

Analytics Specialist

This is theentry-level position in Opera Solutions Shanghai. Analytics Specialists areresponsible for discrete pieces of analysis that contribute towards solving aclient’s business problem. Analytics Specialists break down a problem intohypotheses to be tested, structure the testing approaches, model and interpretthe data; While working abroad, assist in developing client recommendations andwork collaboratively with client team to implement changes. This positionrequires analytical ability, a flair for quantitative problem solving andstrong interpersonal/communication skills.

Requirement

- Excellentverbal and written English to work effectively in a multicultural andinternational environment

- Abilityand desire to learn quickly

  

*Quantitative discipline, top rank, prize in mathematics modeling, demonstratedleadership or professional internship/oversea experience will be a plus.

Software Engineer

SoftwareEngineers are responsible for development of enterprise analytics softwaresupporting, mining and analyzing huge volumes of data. This position requiresability to work well within a team structure and to deliver on specific tasks,keenness to explore requirements and work proactively towards identifying gaps,and adherence to general work processes.

Position 1:

Data Engineer

Job Function andResponsibilities:

Data engineer willwork closely with other members of development team and analysts to deliverhigh quality business application for business and c-level executives. He/Shewill design and implement data models and ETL processes to deliver high qualityinformation to the end user.

Knowledge andSkills:

· ExcellentSQL capabilities

· Goodunderstanding of Database scalability techniques and Parallel ETL flows

· Good Javaprogramming skills is a plus

· Goodunderstanding of data warehouse life cycle is a plus

· Haveexcellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

· StrongEnglish written, verbal, and comprehension skills required

Education:

· Bachelordegree majored in CS, CIS, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field orequivalent experience.

Position 2:

Software Engineer(back-end, Java)

Job Function andResponsibilities:

Software Engineers (back-end,Java) are responsible for development of enterprise analytics softwaresupporting, mining and analyzing huge volumes of data. This position requiresability to work well within a team structure and to deliver on specific tasks,keenness to explore requirements and work proactively towards identifying gaps,and adherence to general work processes.

Knowledge andSkills:

· Highproficiency in software development, specifically in the Java and Pythonlanguages.

      Broadknowledge of relational OO and database design Familiarity with web-basedproduct development.

· Experiencein Big data analysis/processing platform, especially for Hadoop ecosystem is aplus

· Experiencein NoSql database is a plus, e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis ,Hbase

· Haveexcellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

· StrongEnglish written, verbal, and comprehension skills required

· Detail -oriented, and willing to learn new technologies and utilize them as part ofbuilding software solutions

Education:

· Bachelordegree majored in CS, CIS, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field orequivalent experience.

Position 3:

Software Engineer(Frontend, web service)

Job Function andResponsibilities:

Software Engineer (Frontend,web service) will work as part of our Analytics Platform Development team tocreate exciting new analytic products for Big Data. This position requiresability to work well within a team structure and to deliver on specific tasks,keenness to explore requirements and work proactively towards identifying gaps,and adherence to general work processes.

Knowledge andSkills:

· Highproficiency in software development, specifically in the Java and Pythonlanguages.

· Knowledge ofJ2EE, SQL, SOAP/REST WebServices, Spring, Hibernate, JSON, MySQL, Unix/Linux.

· Broadknowledge of relational OO and database design Familiarity with web-basedproduct development.

· Haveexcellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

· StrongEnglish written, verbal, and comprehension skills required.

· Experiencewith Hadoop technologies is desirable.

Education:

· Bachelordegree majored in CS, CIS, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field orequivalent experience.
