Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) Associate
Interested in joining a leadership development program that gives you exposure to and hands-on experience in project management, process improvement, materials management and related areas? Avery Dennison’s Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) is a two-year program that develops talent and accelerates careers of new graduates.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) Program offers selected high potential candidates to join our intensive two-year program. The associates will be offered a wide range of opportunities:
- Rotations in 2-4 divisions in Operations and/or Supply Chain
- Involved in projects and assignments which are of high impact to current business needs
- Learning functional and technical aspects of our business, including Avery Dennison Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) and Kaizen projects
- Developing your leadership skills
- Reporting directly to the site or functional manager
PHYSICAL WORK LOCATION:
- Based in South China (Nansha or Panyu)
- Travelling within China or to areas in Asia Pacific
- Rotations in Asia Pacific divisions based on assignment needs
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Activities and duties will vary dependent upon the functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Following Assignment Managers’ instructions and rotating to different divisions and/or locations in order to gain experience in various functions in the company
- Working independently and completing assignments or tasks in a timely manner
- Attending various trainings assigned by Assignment Managers and fully utilizing the knowledge learned from daily operations and projects
- Problem solving in functional areas or sites
- Providing assistance and feedback to Assignment Managers; recommending improvements or changes to the current operations
- Working with cross-functional teams/shop floor people to implement processes & changes; Knowledge transfer to build up organizational capabilities
- Preparing management reports as required
- Participating in GOLD Program activities
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
- Highly motivated and creative
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization
- Working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Achieving challenging goals for self and projects
- Willing to relocate in different divisions and/or locations
- Fluent in English; Good command of Mandarin an advantage
EDUCATION:
- Final year university students
- Bachelor/ Master Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical and Industrial), Logistics, Supply Chain Management and related subjects.
