Description
As an entry level EHS Associate at Caterpillar, Environmental and/or Safety (EHS) assignments are planned to provide you the experience and familiarization with the technical staff, methods, practices and programs of the company and assigned area.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Support to safety & environment orientation trainings to new employees, as well as other essential trainings to contractors, including organize competence exam and manage record database;
- Support to collect material of both sub-level and top-level monthly safety councils and present related subjects;
- Support and organize accident investigation to dig out root causes for corrective actions, avoiding similar accident of happening again;
- Follow up the open findings of safety walk, safety observation and create related statistics;
- Organize and coordinate weekly leadership safety walk for hazards identification and elimination and follow the progress of findings;
- Support to audit contractors and suppliers' safety at CSCL, and follow up approval process for special task by contractors and suppliers, maintain contractor management database;
- Support the process for dangerous waste disposal with local governmental requirements;
- Support environmental regular testing required by laws & regulations.
- Notify Quality Bureau on new special equipment and arrange following check. Manage both hard copy and e-copy of documents for special equipments. Organize annual check for existing special equipments by Quality Bureau.
- Lead the application of new special operating licenses and annual check of old licenses. Manage the database of license.
- Communicate and coordinate with GP and supplier to select proper PPE according to requirement and communicate with related people to solve PPE problems.
- Write and communicate about safety topic
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Incumbents must have 1 to 2 years EHS experience, exhibited ability to begin working independently and demonstrated ability to apply theory and concept;
- Must have ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as customers and suppliers;
- Desired Qualifications: A degree in an appropriate scientific discipline is highly desired and consideration will be given to equivalent EHS experience.
