Title of Position
Associate Operation-Intermodal
Purpose
To provide Intermodal export service along the YTZ River except Taicang or Chengdu in a timely and cost-efficient manner by collaborating with internal functions and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage barge, truck service for inland ports along Yangtze River except Taichang and Chengdu in a cost effective manner.
- Facilitate barge and mother vessel connection at Shanghai port.
- Expedite electronic data interchange system implementation at inland ports along Yangtze River.
- Evaluate the suppliers’ performance regularly.
- Coordinate to collect 3rd party repair cost from customer.
- Continuously assists in developing and reviewing existing work processes/procedures and where possible pursue automatic solutions to increase internal productivity and efficiency as well as externally with other departments, seek for cost saving solutions.
- Organize Intermodal related reports, analyze the result and submit the improvement plan.
- Vendor invoice check and system update based on FACT SOP.
- Backup within INT team and accomplish other tasks delegated by Nanjing operation manager.
