Key Responsibilities

The main objectives of EIS APAC team are, in close liaison with CIB APAC:

• - To contribute to the development of CIB Corporate client base, by proactively identifying commercial prospects corporate in key sectors (prospects being or positioned to become national/regional/global leaders in their sector).
• - To contribute to the determination of new priority sectors at CIB request in the frame of client franchise development.

By working closely with Senior Industry Analysts of EIS APAC, the proposed mission will enable the Graduates joining the team :

• - To develop an industrial, economic and financial expertise on one or several sectors
• - To be involved into the launch of a new team with strategic objectives for BNP Paribas in the APAC region
• - To work closely with various entities of the Bank, gaining a transversal view of its activities
• - To participate to the elaboration of recommendations regarding future clients of the Bank.

Graduates main responsibilities will be :

• - To gather and ensure reliability of industrial data, either of economic or financial nature. This will involve the use of economic and industrial databases, as well as market oriented information. Similarly, gather and ensure reliability of company data (financial, operational, market-related...) in selected sectors.
• - To perform statistical treatment and economic analysis of collected information.
• - To elaborate synthetic tools to evaluate and forecast sectors evolution and companies positioning within target sectors.
• - To contribute to the identification of corporate prospects through intense economic and financial intelligence.

Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)

Technical

• Economic analysis (industry economics, macro-economics)
• Quantitative analysis
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and specifically on database management under MS Excel.
• Basic notions of financial analysis
• Interest and knowledge in one of the following industries would be an advantage: high-tech/IT, distribution, automotive, metallurgy & transformation of metals, building materials

Specific Qualifications Required

Students who have recently graduated or graduating in 2014in the economic or corporate finance fields are most welcome to apply.

Languages: English fluency, fluency (verbal and written) in Chinese mandarin, French notions can be an advantage

Prior experience with an analyst role in economic/ financial/ consulting institutions is an advantage
