Job Title:

Footwear Associate

Purpose:
To take part in a 2 years on-the-job trainee program in the Footwear Sourcing organization, build necessary technical and managerial skills in order to advance to a long term career path to senior operation positions.
Key Responsibilities:
To learn and actively participate to the basic roles and responsibilities associated with the key Sourcing Operation functions: Product Creation (including Costing, Materials, and Product Testing), Tactical and Production Planning, Manufacturing (including Quality and ME). Successfully intern in these roles and participate as active member to the Teams’ success.
• Impact on Business – Provide a pool of highly capable individuals ready to step in key positions when necessary
• Customer/Suppliers/Third Parties – Shadowing the SOM in most of his/her interactions, while participating to the Team daily duties, interacts with the same group as the SOM. As part of the daily duties, the Associate needs to understand the functions and R&R, provide concrete support to the assigned Departments, report to mentor (SOM) on a regular basis and receive coaching.
• Leadership/Management Responsibilities – Capable to take functional and project leadership under SOM guidance; should be considered by others within the Team as “role model” for higher roles within the organization.
• Innovation and Change –Create attitude for change, and bring new ideas to the Teams.
Key Relationships:
• SOM, SMPC, SMM, Costing Manager, Materials Manager, ME, Quality Teams, HQ Teams
• T1 management and various levels of the assigned departments
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Technical skills (manufacturing, planning, project management, industrial engineering, materials engineering, biomechanical or sport science preferred)
• Communication skills (presentation, efficient note taking, computer literate)
• Analytical skills, reporting and data collection
• Open mind, passionate about sports
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
We are looking for world citizens with a passion for excellence, an open and inquisitive mind and passion for sports. Talented individuals, willing to learn, are fitting this job, which requires attention to details, curiosity, spirit of observation and discipline.
No previous work experience required but preferred. Vocational training (preferred in a multinational organization), MA in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or MBA preferred.
Multiple language skills: fluent English -written and spoken- required; German, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia an advantage.
Flexibility and willingness to relocate at Company’s request.

 

Assistant EngineerProduct - RAC

Purpose/Key Responsibilities: (Mission of job/General area of responsibility)
· Supports the RAC-USA in the development of new technology bottoms and components in RAC-FLU. Will be required to work closely with the factory development staff, T2 vendors and RAC-FLU Senior Manager on a daily basis. Responsibilities include the transfer of information to the RAC-USA development teams, the management of tooling timelines and the verification of the costing information provided by T2 vendors.
· Supports the RAC-FLU Senior Manager and Commercialization Manager to ensure the successful manufacturing start-up in Asia of proprietary RAC components and/or technology bottoms
· Ensures that all RAC bottom or component molding issues related to the initial development, commercialization, technical specifications and quality assurance standards are communicated on a daily basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Product:
¨ Supports the production qualification for proprietary RAC components and technology bottoms as well as the overall production environment.
¨ Assists in the creation of all technical and quality assurance documentation for all RAC components and technology bottoms
¨ Supports the RAC Commercialization Manger in all aspects of the commercialization and production phases in RAC-FLU including raw materials, sub-assembled parts, QC testing apparatus and final components
¨ Supports the RAC Commercialization Manger to ensure the on time delivery of commercialization and production samples.
¨ Communicates all issues related to RAC components and technology bottoms to the appropriate people.
Operations:
¨ Communicates across all levels of the organization as needed: ensures the RAC Senior Manager and/or Commercialization Manager are receiving and passing along appropriate information in a timely manner so that decisions can be made.
¨ Understands and implements all Adidas/Reebok policies pertaining to the confidentiality of the RAC components and/or technology bottoms that are being commercialized. Must have the ability to use good judgment on when to be principle centered vs. policy driven.
¨ Provides development tracking reports for components and bottoms that are distributed in a timely manner, and helps to improve the reporting process.
¨ Ensure value/cost optimization by providing cost efficient manufacturing ideas and expertise throughout the development and production process.
¨ Supports the daily management of vendor relationships, including regular (scheduled and un-scheduled) visits to all manufacturing facilities.
Requisite Education/Experience:
¨ Preferably holds a bachelors degree in Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing or a related field.
¨ Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
¨ A recent graduate or up to three years working in a technical capacity.
