职位

Mechanical Engineer, Simulation Specialist 

Location City: XiaMen City, Fujian, China

Responsibilities:

1.      To use and develop special techniques such as finite element analysis, fracture mechanics calculations, fatigue analysis on thin wall plastic parts, sheet metal parts and their assemblies etc.

2.      Perform Finite element analysis(FEA) to solve complex elasticity and structural analysis problems, to predict the behavior of products affected by many physical effects, including: Mechanical stress,Mechanical vibration,Fatigue,Motion,Heat transfer, Electrostatics and Plastic injection molding.

3.      Provide the expert technical support to mechanical designer with his/her expertise on FEM(Finite Element Method) , materials and engineering mechanics, assist in making sure the product is designed and manufactured using the best material for the optimum balance of cost and performance .

4.      Perform FEA stress analysis,assist in doing failure analysis, improving and optimizing the design for better performance and/or reduce the failure rate.

5.      Assist in developing mechanical parts and assemblies

6.      Assist in creating 3D CAD files, 2D drawings and documents

7.      Be responsible for preparing part list, CMF and necessary documents for design and PDP

8.      Coordinate project activities in mechanics

9.      Work with engineering team to review and approve the DFM, focus in materials’ selection and process simulation

10.    Work with engineering team to approve mechanical parts, includes molded parts, stamping parts, cables and cushions etc.;

11.    Work with PQM to plan and follow up DVT(Design Verification Tests) activities in mechanical section, is responsible for conducting troubleshooting for the test failures in mechanics;

12.    Acts as a consultant to other engineering groups on design of experiments and the analysis of test data to determine outcome and enable the definition of part tolerance and specifications

13.    Cost Reduction: Meet and Exceed Cost Reduction plans through conducting investigative studies in areas of product costs to determine improvement opportunities and lead associated changes to improve efficiency & reduce costs.

14.    On-site support to the trial shots and builds at contract manufacturers

Requirements:

•        Fresh graduates from the well-known universities.

•        Master or Ph.D in Ploymer science and engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Solid Mechanics.

•        Excellent academic Record.

•        Demonstrate good knowledge on FEM.

•        Familiar with FEA simulation software (i.e. Ansys etc).

•        Cross functional or cross discipline experience: Experience on DFM interaction development, Value engineering experience

•        Language: Fluent English skills, both written and oral

•        IT: Good at Ms office softwares and FEA software etc.

•        Education: Master or Ph.D in Ploymer science and engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Solid Mechanics.
