Position Title: Lab Technician
Position Purpose:
1) Analyses raw materials andfinished products and conducts laboratory blending.
2) Assists Lead Chemist for dailyoperations and maintaining QP&G
Principal Accountabilities:
1) Analyses base oils, additivesand products according to specifications. Prepares inspection reports andauthorizes product filling if it meets product specification.
2) Inputs laboratory inspectionreport into QA LIMS.
3) Conducts laboratory blendingfor new formulation or to make change of existing formulation.
4) Assists Lead Chemist fordesignated laboratory equipment calibration/maintenance.
5) Observes all safety rules andmaintains good housekeeping practices and 5S in work area.
6) Assists Lead Chemist introuble-shooting product quality problems. Suggests correction for off-specification product through laboratoryblend study, if necessary.
7) Coordinates with otherdepartments and ensure timely batch release.
Job Qualifications:
1) Bachelor degree in Chemistry,preferably 0.5-3 years' experience in lab.
2) Laboratory skills, includingability to analyze data, interpret and evaluate technical information.
3) Must be able to work in teamenvironments.
4) Basic skill in English andcomputer manipulation ability.
