General Responsibility:
To perform plan appraisal in accordance with ABS Rules & Regulations, relevant statutory Regulations, all applicable codes, conventions and standards, for new construction and existing ship projects.
Requirements:
- Have a good university degree (Bachelor or above) in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Ocean-Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Be able to review/appraise design plans of ship, drilling units and marine structures for meeting applicable Rules/Regulations/Codes(e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO MODU Code, API-RP-2A,etc)
- Be able to carry out structural strength/fatigue assessment by FEM analysis is an advantage
- Have good command of written and verbal English
