光机工程师/Opto-Mechanical Engineer (职位地点：无锡)

职位描述 
1.Perform value-engineering analysis on current processes and designs. Investigate cost-saving measures wherever possible and prepare the necessary ECO\s or help facilitate customer ECO’s in support of Newport’s OEM sub-assembly business. 
2.Develop and document manufacturing process for Opto-mech products, including assembly, alignment and testing. Take from prototype stage into full sales released product stage. 
3.Resolve product and process failures, define and implement corrective action plans to eliminate failure modes. 
4.Keep abreast of state-of-the-art developments in relevant manufacturing technologies and production equipment. Prepare and champion proposals for improvements and upgrades of manufacturing capability. Specify the application of production equipment. Prepare and implement capital improvement proposals. 
5.Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. 
6.Create routings and conduct process improvements.

任职要求 
1.Master or above, majored in Optics. 
2.Optical with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with opto-mechanical and electro-optic based products, and alignment and mounting of optical components into sub-assemblies. 
3.CAD/CAM computer programs desired
4.Experience with (Soildworks, Correl Draw) 
5.Must be familiar with Opto-Mechnical assembly techniques, interferometric test techniques, metrology, instrumentation, alignment and testing; cleanroom and production environment; WCM, Kanban, 6.Cellular Manufacturing, TQM and JIT concepts.

 

Sr. Optical Design Engineer/Lead/Manager

高级光学设计工程师  (职位地点：无锡)

职位描述：
Using optical engineering / physics knowledge and an understanding of the Semiconductor metrology equipment and/or medical instruments, this person’s responsibility may include:

1.Leading the design team (responsible for product or test equipment development) to find solutions to difficult technical problems in an efficient manner;

2.Decomposition of top-level system requirements into lower level module, sub-module, or component level design specifications for product or test equipment towards the engineering team;

3. Specifications for module, sub-module, or test equipment consistent with our manufacturing practices;

4. Preparation of leading system engineer documentation (Element Performance Specifications, Element Design Specifications, Test Performance Specification; Test Analysis Reports) through review, release and change control;

5.Support preparation of design reviews for the development team;

6.Supporting systems in the factory and in the field, by being able to relate observed potential system defects;

7. Clearly communicating progress and status of ongoing technical activities to senior management;

8. Some travel ( ~ 30%) to Europe, US, and within the Asia Pacific region can be expected.

Education
-Minimum MS in Optical Sciences and Engineering, or Physics with an emphasis on optical system design and analysis is required.

Experience
-10 years of industry experience in optical module design and development:

-Candidate should have direct experience in the design, integration and test of optical systems or test equipment used to produce optical systems (i.e. hands on).

-Candidate will work with designers from supporting engineering disciplines in order to converge on an optimal design solution

Personal skills
Candidate must:

-Have strong written and oral communicative skills in both English and Chinese are required;

-Be able to identify primary technical needs from complex issues and derive needed requirements;

-Demonstrated “team player” with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills;

-Have competencies in: optical design theory, lasers, polarization, detectors and electro-optical devices. A working knowledge of an optical design SW such as Code V or Zemax, ASAP, FRED, TracePro or LightTool is essential;

-Be able to interface with multidisciplinary groups and work effectively in a team and be willing to take on responsibility, follow through and keep multiple simultaneous assignments on schedule;

-Be able to quickly acquire technical knowledge from documentation and on-the-job training and be capable of thoroughly investigating technical issues (analytically and hands-on in a lab);

- Project management skill is a plus

- We’re a leading company in this industry,this is a role similar to management trainee. He/She will base in Wuxi Newport Headquarter do marketing analysis at first. Then rotate to our other technical functions, such as internal sales, technical support and so on, with successful track record, he/she will be promoted to the leader of one team.

 

- As our products are photonics, opto-mechanical related, he/she will be rotated to technical functions in future, and his/her contact window of internal/external customers are P.H.Ds, so we need candidates have good related education background, Master Degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Mechanical, Biological etc. at least  MBA

Ø Work with Sales team to do budget/forecast and track sales and booking trends.

Ø Work with marketing team to conduct the customer satisfaction survey.

Ø Support Inside Sales operation.

 

Qualification:

Ø With business background, MBA degree is a plus.
