Fuzhou No. 3 High School (also named Fuzhou No.3 Middle School) is one of the most prestigious high schools in China and shares the same reputation as some of the country’s top high schools, such as Beijing No. 4 High School and the High School Affiliated to the Renmin University of China. 福州第三中学是中国最有声望的中学之一。其与国内顶级高中—北京四中及人民大学附属中学齐名。

The school was founded in 1942 and is located in the centre of Fuzhou city, the capital of Fujian Province. It is a full-time ordinary high school from Grade 10 to 12. Sitting right beside the beautiful West Lake of Fuzhou, the school occupies an area of 30，000 square meters. In 2002， funded by the Fuzhou municipal government，the school spent 120 million Yuan and built a branch school in Jinshan，a suburb of Fuzhou. The School has a total of around 2000 students. 学校成立于1942年，座落在福建省的省会城市—福州的中心，是一所全日制普通高中，含10到12年三个年级。学校地处美丽的西湖公园湖畔，占地三万平方米。2002年，在福州市政府的赞助下，学校投资一亿两千万元人民币在福州金山区建立了分校。在校生共达到两千人。

Since its establishment in 1942，the school has made tremendous academic achievements in various fields of secondary education. It has been designated by Fuzhou Bureau of Education as a municipal key high school since 1953 and been one of the first 14 provincial key schools since 1963. Since 1994, the school has been awarded by Fujian Department of Education as “A Standard School of Provincial Level One” In 2003，it was among the Provincial Model High Schools awarded by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The school has cultivated many talents for the 21st century and students have won many medals in all kinds of competitions including the gold medal in the International Math Olympiad in 1996.自1942年建校以来，学校在中学教学方面屡创佳绩。从1953年起，学校就被教育局评为市重点高中，1963年它被确定为首批14所省级重点校之一，1994年我校被教育部确定为省一级达标校。2003年被国家教育部评为“省级重点高中”。学校为21世纪培养了大量人才，其中许多优秀学生在各种竞赛中取得可人的成果，包括1996年国际奥林匹克数学竞赛中夺得的金牌。 The school’s motto is “Aspire，study hard and perform”. 2-Facilities教学设备

Fuzhou No. 3 High School occupies 30，000 square meters of land. It has 14 laboratories for physics， chemistry， biology， working skills etc， together with 2 sound laboratories. All the 42 classroomsof the school have complete multimedia equipments. In addition，it also has 10 special multimedia classrooms and 3 multimedia network rooms. The school has the first DIS digital lab for physics in Fujian Province. The school has a 4，598 square-meter multifunctional Athletics and Arts Center that has a swimming pool，a basketball gym，a dancing hall，a performing hall， several fine arts classrooms， and a 1，950 square-meter modern library (provincial-level model library)，and a 300-meter tracking field. 福州三中占地三万平方米，拥有14间完备而规范的理、化、生、劳技等课程的专用实验室以及2间语音教室，还有42间配有完善多媒体设备的普通教室。此外，学校还有10间特殊多媒体教室、3间多媒体网络教室并最早拥有省内先进的物理DIS实验室。同时，学校还拥有总面积达<4598平方米>的多功能体艺中心，内设有标准室内游泳池、篮球健身房、舞蹈教室、演出厅、多间艺术教室；学校还配有一座面积达1950平方米的现代图书馆(省级模范图书馆)以及一个300平方米田径场。

 

For students enrolled in the normal classes, the courses they are taking will enable them to be well prepared for the National College Entrance Exam (NCEE) three years later. This NCEE is necessary for entry into Chinese colleges or universities. Thus, they will study core courses required by the Chinese Ministry of Education for the whole three years in secondary education. For those enrolled in EIP(to be further introduced bellow), they will select necessary core courses as required by the Ministry of Education of China to earn compulsory credits; meanwhile, they will study three to four A-level courses; in the third year, they can select one or two AP courses, such as Calculus, Economics, Physics, etc. Qualified students will receive Chinese high school diploma as well as Chinese transcripts. For those going to overseas universities, their transcripts will be both in Chinese and English. 在三中就读的平行班的学生，三年内学习中国教育部规定的中国高中课程，为高考做好充分准备。而出国班（EIP---下文有进一步介绍）的学生需要学习会考的科目以取得必修学分，同时还要学习3-4门的A-level课程(数学，物理，经济，或化学)；出国班的学生到了高三，还可以根据自身的学习能力，修AP课程(从微积分、经济、物理中任选1-2科)。合格的学生会收到中国高中毕业证书和中文版的成绩单。对于申请国外大学的中加班学生，可以获得中英文成绩单。

 

Fuzhou No. 3 High School was one of the earliest “Window Schools” opening to the world. In order to provide the students a platform to communicate with students from all around the World，the School organizes students and teachers to make international visits and receives colleagues and friends from all over the world. Quality education at Fuzhou No.3 High School breaks the confinement of classroom walls in order to create any opportunities possible for students to grow. 6-Edison International Program (EIP) 爱迪生中加友好实验班（简称“中加班”)

The EIP was established in 2005 upon the approval by Fujian Department of Education and Fuzhou Bureau of Education，which is a three-year high school program. 爱迪生中加友好实验班(中加班)始建于2005年，由福建省教育局批准，是三年的高中课程项目。

The EIP’s main purpose is to carry on an internationally orientated education, which pays great attention to the overall development of students including leadership，communication skills, etc，with a focus on the development of individual character and talents of students. Besides adequate academic programs, EIP students are encouraged to participate in more extracurricular activities compared to students in traditional classes. 与中国传统的中学不同，中加班(EIP)的主要目的是进行国际化教育，把主要精力用在发展学生的全面素质，包括领导能力和沟通技巧等，同时也注意学生的独立人格和才能发展。除了充分的学术学习，中加班的学生比平行班的学生参加更多的课外活动。 Our school has tried our best to prepare students for studying in the region of Hong Kong or international colleges in the United States，Canada， Britain，Australia，Singapore, etc. All EIP students were selected through a very rigorous and competitive process, and were among the top middle school students in overall performance. 学校尽全力培育学生、为将来进入海内外高等大学做最充分的准备，升学去向涉及中国香港地区或海外国家包括美国，加拿大，英国，澳大利亚，新加坡。中加班的学生是通过严厉选拔的，竞争激励，学生素质高、综合能力强。

The students will select necessary core courses as required by the Ministry of Education of China to earn compulsory credits; meanwhile, they will study three to four A-level courses; in the third year, they can select one or two AP courses, such as Calculus, Economics, Physics, etc. In addition, compared to traditional students, EIP students will take English courses designed to the standards prevalent in North America or other English-speaking regions. The English courses will be taught by experienced expatriate language teachers to ensure quality and high standards of English education as well as students’ comprehensive ability. Qualified students will receive Chinese high school diploma as well as Chinese-English transcripts. 中加班的学生需要学习会考的科目以取得必修学分，同时还要学习3-4门的A-level课程(数学，物理，经济，或化学)；中加班的学生到了高三，还可以根据自身的学习能力，修AP课程(从微积分、经济、物理中任选1-2科)。此外，他们还得学习更多外加英语课程以为将来到北美国家或其他英语为第一语言的地区上大学打好语言基础。外加英语课程由教学经验丰富的外教授课以保证良好的英语综合能力。合格的学生将会收到中国高中毕业证书和中英文版的成绩单。

 

7- AP (Advanced Placement) Courses 美国的大学先修课程AP

The school has been authorized to hold AP exams. In addition, our School has been offering 3 courses with a similar difficulty level as AP courses, which are Economics, Physics and Calculus. And the teachers have been following AP guidelines. EIP students will take the two courses out of these three in Grade 12. In May 2009, many of our EIP Students attended the AP exams held by our school.

我校已被授权举行AP考试。另外，我校已开设三门与AP难度相当的课程，分别是经济、物理、微积分。授课教师一律按照AP大纲进行教学。EIP学生在高三年级时从三门课程中选择两门课程学习。2009年5月，大部分EIP学生参加了我校举行的AP考试。

 

Having received authorization to teach A-level courses in August 2011（A-level includes AS and A2 parts）, students of the EIP program will be taught AS Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry during their first two years in the school, where after they will sit the 3 exams. In their third year of study, students will be offered a choice between studying A2 or AP, and again taking the relevant exams, the credits students get from these exams will obviously help them when applying to a Western university.

我校于2011年8月获得教授A-level课程的授权书(A-level包括AS和A2)。中加班（EIP）的学生在高一、高二两学年学习AS数学、AS物理、AS化学，然后参加三门科目的考试。到了高三学年，学生选择学习A2或AP，然后再参加相关考试。学生考试所获得的学分能够很大程度上帮助他们在国外大学的申请。

 

职位：国际课程的中英双语老师

招聘人数：数学、物理、经济学各一人。

要求：

1. 专业对口，本科以上，硕士或有数学经验者优先考虑。

2. 英语6级优先考虑，至少过4级。对英文版教材熟悉或有兴趣。英文阅读能强。

3. 品行端正，热爱教学，有强烈责任心，有爱心、对学生有耐心。
