looking for a R&D Hardware Architect/ Developer.

What are my
responsibilities?
•Define concepts for digital hardware
circuits including topology, structure and placement perceptions, optimized for
low power consumption and real time signal processing in harsh environments
•Define concepts for analog hardware
circuits including structure and placement perceptions, especially for low
signal sensing and low energy actuation functions with low signal-to-noise
ratio in the low ... mid frequency range
•Show the feasibility of the favored
solution
•Elaborate suitable concepts to prevent all
sorts of electromagnetic disturbances (EMC) of the electronic circuits
•Support the elaboration, the proof and the
documenting of reasonable SIL 2/3 (safety) concepts
•Support the elaboration, the proof and the
document of reasonable Ex-i concepts
•Determine the consequences for all technical
changes which are requested and could influence the analog behavior (i.e.
perform the impact analysis for analog circuits), provide evaluation and
recommendations to the product architect
•Describe the digital hardware
architecture, the SIL and Ex concepts related to digital hardware as well as
the technical features of the product in the feature specification document
•Observe the state of the art related to
digital circuit design and signal processing with special focus on such
application in the related products
What do I need to qualify for this job?
•Students who will graduate in 2015 with
Doctors in related field (electrical engineering, focus digital design and
signal processing or analog design, etc.)
•Fluent in verbal and written English
•Candidates will be preferred, if they have
advanced knowledge in close loop design, industrial communication interfaces,
safety design and some basics in embedded software design.
•SIL2/3 and/or Ex-i and Ex-d knowledge.
•Advanced analytical, structuring and
synthesizing skills.
•Clear communication.
•Fast grasping and learning essential.

Siemens Sensors and Communication Ltd.
Dalian was set up on Oct. 17th, 2006 as a fully owned company by Siemens Ltd.,
China. The building area is with more than 15,000 square meters and the
workshop covers 7000 square meter. And this is the only one factory the
division sensor & communications has been opened in China and overall it's
the 15th factory of the IA group in China. SSCL has started the production in
August 2007, and has now a wide range of process instruments in their
portfolio: Manufacture of industrial process instruments as flow meters,
pressure transmitters, level sensors and dynamic weighing products.
The Research and Product Development unit
(R&D) of SSCL was established in 2006. As the production of Siemens Sensors
Communication Limited (SSCL) factory increased in volume and product variants
over the years, it became more and more important to involve a strong team of
engineers, who could support the production with profound product knowledge.
During the last 8 years, the focus and scope of SSCL R&D was continuously
enlarged to now host technical knowledge and experiences out of a wide range of
technologies, which are applied in the field of process instrumentation
business: For PI applications it is important to capture the temperature of
media, the pressure, levels, the flow of volume and masses as well as the
wheight of process media. This is needed to guarantee stable and profitable
processes in different market areas. Also the control of fluids and solids and
the transmission of signals as basis for effective communication are needed.
For the above mentioned sensor devices, the
international team of SSCL R&D engineers is developing analog and digital
hardware solutions, is focusing on structural and fluidic mechanical
challenges, is working on smart embedded software to operate the products and
last but not least is ensuring, that the functionality and certification are
available at the customers site. Modern, state-of-the-art software tools and
laboratory equipement support the SSCL R&D engineers to further grow their
competencies.
As a member of the global R&D community
in the Siemens Process Instrumentation (PI) business unit, SSCL R&D
supports to optimize, adopt and redesign many of the PI products or components
in order to ensure highest customer satisfaction. Recently SSCL R&D also
started to take full responsibility to develop new products, which are intended
to penetrate new markets or market segments. Since "Excellence" is one of
Siemens values, SSCL R&D shares experiences, competencies and equipment
with colleagues and specialists all over the world in Canada, China, Croatia,
Denmark, France, Germany, India and USA. A general, powerful product
development process (Product Lifecycle Management process PLM) ensures, that
the developed products will excite the customers: SSCL R&D sees this
excitements as representation of innovation. Since nothing can be perfect, SSCL
R&D never stops to improve all relevant approaches and processes, in order
to act as effective and efficient as possible with a maximum contribution to
the customer value.
Currently SSCL R&D is preparing to
