This position will assist Ford’s Environmental Quality Office – Asia Pacific in the following work tasks:

· Ensure robust legal compliance and conformance with Ford environmental standards for new and existing manufacturing operations within Asia Pacific.

· Provide regulatory and environmental engineering support during development of new facility Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). Ensure EIAs and other permits are secured in a timely manner to support program timing requirements.

· Monitor environmental design requirements related to new or modified infrastructure and manufacturing operations including air emission control, wastewater treatment, and fuel storage systems.

· Participate in project teams to ensure regulatory and Company environmental global standards and requirements are appropriately implemented.

· Support implementation of Ford sustainability programs.

· Perform environmental due diligence for property transactions

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

· Working location: Shanghai

· Bachelor Degree, major in engineering (Environmental, Chemical, or Civil preferred)

· Internship experience in manufacturing company or environmental consultant preferred

· Excellent communication skills

· Demonstrated initiative with integrity, teamwork orientation, and high intelligence level

· Fluent in both oral and written English

· Good usage of Excel, PowerPoint, Word

The Ford Graduate Program in Ford Land offers recent university graduates the opportunity to work in a multinational environment with other highly-motivated professionals from around the globe. Our work include planning and engineering, project management, facility management, asset management, real estate, energy, etc. The Ford Land organization is experiencing a growing role in our manufacturing facilities. The graduate majored in the electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, architecture, or civil engineering is welcome to send your resume

· Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement of facility standards and specifications. Engage in standards committees which support the GFF effort (including Electrical Specification Teams).

· Strengthen Company programs to ensure implementation of sustainability initiatives in commercial, retail, manufacturing, research, and test facilities.

· Provide subject matter expertise to projects in the AP region, and support to regional Ford Land projects

· Drive the use of new technologies to maximize capital investment efficiency and sustainability in all corporate infrastructure programs. Provide engineering analysis and recommended prioritization on Capital Investment Budgets.

· • Support and maintain positive relationships with government authorities, municipalities, and communities in which we operate to enhance long term working relationship with community officials. Ensure that our facilities comply with local codes, laws and recommended practices.

· • Direct the efforts of external engineering consultants on facility evaluations, design alternatives analysis, feasibility studies, estimating and construction delivery systems.

· • Advise and direct our project management team in the implementation of a diverse array of highly technical mechanical engineering projects.

· Provide SME to our 'Engineering Clearinghouse', a recurring venue to ensure a collaborative, innovative and knowledge based process critical to the delivery of all projects, resulting in safe, productive and sustainable workplaces for our employees.

· Increase the capacity to deliver estimating services and drive the development of processes which ensures prompt and thorough response in matters of estimating advice, evaluations, alternatives analysis, and feasibility studies.

· Development internally and/or oversee development by our consultants of technical evaluations, analysis, feasibility studies and site studies.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

· Working location: Shanghai

· Professional degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, architecture, or civil engineering, etc.

· Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or willingness to obtain.

· Knowledge of facility operations and industry practices.

· Problem Definition, Analysis and Solution Development

· Excellent Oral/Written Communications skills to positively represent the Company.

· Organized Documentation and Record Retention capability.

· Willingness to travel
