CGG are expanding their Research Department and are currently looking to recruit bright and enthusiastic graduate to join the Subsurface Imaging APAC Research team as Graduate Researcher in our Singapore Center.

CGG offers data processing solutions for land, marine, multicomponent and sea bed and we use state of the art technology to emit sound waves into the subsurface of the earth, which interact with the geology.

As a recognized leader in data processing, this is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to utilize their analytical and research skills, to provide innovative solutions to this essential phase of oil and gas exploration.

The primary responsibility of our Graduate Researcher will be to contribute to the development of new and accurate software solutions for imaging the earth’s subsurface and overcoming industry-plaguing problems.

You will work closely with both our world class geophysicists and software engineers which will enable you to learn new techniques, develop your analytical and research skills and deliver high level solutions.

Required Education & Experience:

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or any other related technical degree.

Strong maths skills are essential, as you must be capable of abstracting geophysical concepts with mathematical languages, as well as fantastic analytical abilities, great attention to details.

Excellent coding skills are also essential for this role, particularly FORTRAN and C/C and preferably knowledge of high performance computation (MPI, multi-threading, GPU etc.)

You need to be highly creative, a great problem solver and motivated to deal with real data and deliver high end technological products.

You can work autonomously but also within a team and have good time management, ability to organize and prioritize your workload.

Effective communication skills are required for this position. It also requires proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
