Open Position at Firmenich: Plant Biology Scientist

Department:  R&D

Location:  Shanghai                                                         

Requirements:

1.  Responsible for project leadership and work as a team member.

2.  Plan and execute experiments independently and effectively.

3.  Meet milestones.

4.  Develop cell culture systems of selected plant species.

5.  Exploit plant organ and cell culture systems for the production of important natural molecules.

6.  Monitor, assess and apply emerging technology developments to facilitate research progress.

Qualifications:

1.   PhD degree in plant science.

2.   Good understanding of metabolic pathways, especially secondary metabolisms in plants.

3.   Good knowledge of plant physiology and plant development.

4.   Excellent experience and proven skills in plant organ, tissue or cell culture.

5.   Passion in phytochemistry and plant metabolic engineering.

6.   Demonstrated abilities in creative thinking and effective problem-solving.

7.   Proven time management skills.

8.   Excellent team-working and collaborative spirit with good inter-personal skills.

9.   Fluent in English and Chinese.

要求：

1.      专业与学历：生物技术，植物科学等相关专业。博士学历。

2.      研究方向：植物组织细胞的培养，有关植物代谢与基因工程方面的研究与应用。

3.      技能：熟悉植物细胞的分化和生长，植物组织细胞的培养 ，植物基因工程方面的研究应用;

4.      英文口语流利。
