JOB TITLE: Intern DEPARTMENT: Medtronic Shanghai Innovation Center (MSIC) Duration: 3-6 months Starting Date: May,2015
POSITION DESCRIPTION The intern will assist Core Tech team at MSIC on Chemistry research projects, such as external collaboration with institutions, universities and agencies. He or she will also assist with vendor communication, vendor database etc. In addition, he or she will also provide administrative support to the group.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED l PhD candidate in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering or related areas. l Ability to independently search, read, analyze, and consolidate information from journals, testing results in the field of polymer sciences and analytical chemistry. Ability to generate scientific publication and reports. l Proficient English in reading, writing and translation skills. l Experience in Chemistry lab work such as material testing, experimental design and execution, chemical analysis such as HPLC and LC-MS. l Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills l Able to spend ≥3 days per week on intern duties.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS l Prefer to have participated in scientific grant application activities. l Experience in writing SOP and WI
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED l Strong work ethic and initiative in accomplishing objectives, should have can-do attitude and accountability l Demonstrate experience in meeting project timeline with high quality work l Strong organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work under time pressure
