Optical Design Engineer
Brief Description
Infinera is leading manufacturer of long-haul WDM optical transmission equipment for the service provider market, a pioneer in design and manufacture of large scale photonic integrated circuits or PIC.
Infinera is looking for a motivated and talent optical engineer to join the Beijing Optical team. The candidate will be a design engineer for optical modules for Infinera’ s optical line system products.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Ø Create optical sub-system or module procurement spec based on the system requirements
Ø Qualification on optical components/modules, perform the necessary verification tests
Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ø Knowledge on optical fiber communication system, telecommunication principles
Ø Knowledge on programming language
Ø Ability on analysis and troubleshooting
Ø Good English in written and verbal communication
Ø Self-motivated
Ø Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines in a dynamic collaborative environment
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ø Programming experience (e.g., , MATLAB, C, C , python)
Ø Experiences on test equipment
Education and working experience required:
Ø Master or PHD is required
Ø Major should be electronic engineers, computer science, applied physics
