Position 1: Software Dev Intern-CTD VNX

This candidate is for platform software and tools development

Requirement:

-software development knowledge or experience, C/C++, Python, Shell programming

-experience in Unix/Linux environment with the ability to troubleshoot the OS environment

-Knowledge of Flex, web services, REST, Go, Ruby, etc.

-Quick learner, self-starter, flexible, adaptable, be proactive and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;

-Experience of dealing with system/platform details is a plus.

Position 2: Mozy QA Engineer Intern

Responsibilities:

- Under the guide of test leads, to plan/design/execute tests.

- Work on automation for test cases across multiple platforms

- analyze and report test results based on the testing activities

 Qualifications:

- Bachelor/Master candidates in computer science and related engineering majors

- Experience in programming with any program languages including but not limited to C/C++/C#/Python/Ruby

- Good at logical thinking and passionate on testing is a good plus

Position 3: SW Quality Engineer Intern -GTAT

GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for participating in the execution of procedures for ensuring the quality and serviceability of new features and releases of software. Authors and executes test cases, using defined methodologies for manual and/or automated tests. Responsible for updating methods and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance and serviceability standards. Isolates, reproduces and tracks bugs and verifies fixes. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Maintains and modifies test environment and configuration as needed, creates new test environments and configurations to meet test cases or problem recreation requirements. Documents test results and manages and maintains defect and test case databases to assist in the continuous improvement and modification of software. Assists in the assessment and planning of test efforts required for new functions/features under development. Works with quality and development engineers in resolution of problems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Provides solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Use tools appropriately with technical guidance and complete tasks and assignments under normal supervision.

-Follows standard engineering/test practices, uses judgment within defined practices and procedures. Implements work-plans and schedules as assigned.

-Seeks assistance when needed, demonstrates self-initiative. Sphere of influence primarily limited to immediate work group.

-Capable in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a test environment, including necessary equipment, configuration, and software. General knowledge of at least one mainstream language, (preferred proficiency in C#). Familiarity with scripting language, Python or Shell Scripting in open systems.

-Ability to read a software specification and develop appropriate test methodology.

-Ability to learn and apply new tools and applications. Full use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, and concepts.

Position 4: Intern IA Software Engineer - (Scripts & Embedded)

GHTS (Global Hardware Test Solutions) provides the comprehensive, intelligent, scalable diagnostics test software and solutions for global EMC platforms and products.

This internship position is responsible for IA platforms test software, scripts, and tools development.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Develop and maintain test ware scripts and automation features for HW design validation and manufacturing test processes.

-Be engaged in embedded diagnostics features, enhancements and unit test development.

-Validate test ware features, defect fixes, enable and maintain continuous integration test sequences on target platforms.

-Test solutions requirements, sequences capturing tools, user guides and documents creation and maintenance.

-Test infrastructures and lab systems setup, configuration and maintenance.

SKILLS

-Familiar with C/C++ programming, experience in Linux environment SW development.

-Mastering of Python language is a plus.

-Interest in platform level or embedded software development.

-Understanding of computer architecture and/or virtualization technologies of IA platform is a plus.

-Smart, able to learn, fast adapting to new technologies and skills.

-Good communication in English and be able to work in a global team.

Position 5: JAVA or Web Application Development Intern-CTD CTO

As a part of the CTD/CTO global team, the CTD/CTO China team is focusing on research and development for Prometheus initiative and projects. The Prometheus initiative aims to build a self-aware, fully autonomous data protection system by leveraging cutting-edge self-healing technology, big data analytic technology.

Responsibilities

-Collaborates with global peers on analyzing project requirements and making development plan

-Participates in the global project and product Advanced-Development projects design and implementation

-Works within a global team to quickly deliver high-quality software solution

Requirements

-Quick learner

-Familiar with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)

-Familiar with Java

-Experience on Ajax and JQuery is a plus

-Experience on back-end web development technology  Spring MVC, Hibernate is a plus

GENERAL SUMMARY

As an intern you will be involved in assignments like full HDD supplier management, HDD firmware qualification, and steady state quality and reliability management. Responsible to define and document requirements, manage the supplier activity, develop and execute a comprehensive qualification plan that includes elements of software characterization testing, hardware characterization testing, and test tool development utilizing programming skills.

Position 7: Software QA Intern -GHTS

Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an individual to be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of high quality code to support EMC's global manufacturing operations. This role requires you to be part of a striving global team, to directly communicate with our global partners, and to handle assigned work items jointly with oversea colleagues.

This position provides an opportunity to co-work with engineers in a Fortune 500 multi-national company. A successful candidate will have opportunities to co-work with very experienced engineers and earn firsthand experience on different phases of software development lifecycle. 

A successful candidate must have a computer science related background, have some problem solving skill and an easy going personality.

Responsibilities:

-        Support various quality programs as required and deliver testware to validate EMC manufacturing and Global Platform Qualification Engineering test requirements.

-        Involved in all phases of the development process including but not limited to: requirements analysis, design, develop, integration test and regression test. 

-        Contribute to the group quality policies and procedures, deliver QA Acceptance report and Qual Report to stakeholders, report and manage bugs.

-        Maintain CI daily integration test scripts and analyze/drive CI issues fix.

-        Drive QA regression issues post-mortem and user feedback issues post-mortem.

Experience & Skills

-        Bachelors or above (Graduated after 2016)

-        Proficient in object-oriented software development, familiar with Python  is a plus.

-        Working knowledge of one the following environments is a plus: Windows and Linux.

-        Can work at least 3 days/week, more than 6 months.

-        Sense of urgency.

-        Good English communication skills, strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).

Job Summary

This is an exciting internship opportunity in EMC Shanghai Global Hardware Engineering organization, the candidate will work as a QA intern to complete some comprehensive tests and release qualified test report for EMC storage product.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Support engineer to perform test per requirement.

-Run tests to verify design, identify, reproduce and report design issues.

-Document test results and release test report with high quality

Skills and Requirement

-General understanding for electronics circuit

-Good knowledge for IT infrastructure, IA platform and OS

-Hands on experience with oscilloscope, etc lab equipments

-Script development experience

-Knowledge for storage technology is a plus

-At least to work for 4 days per week

-Verbal and written English is good
