l  Chair professor, distinguished professor (Oriental Scholar) atShanghai Institutions of Higher Learning; “the 1,000 Talents Plan”, “Distinguished Foreign Teachers Program”

1.     Applicants should have distinguished academic achievements wellrecognized in the academic circle of the world, with creative andstrategic thinking for discipline construction. They are requiredto focus on academic echelon construction and capable of leadingthe team to make breakthroughs. 

2.     For those overseas applicants and overseas returnees, theygenerally should be associate professor or higher in top-notchuniversities. Applicants from Mainland China should possess theSenior Professional Title, at least 2 years working experience infamous foreign universities or R&D institutes within recent 5years.

1.     Talents should have teaching and researching experience at home andabroad with relevant leadership and management skills.

2.     Talents should be in good mastery of key teaching methods in moderneducation and be able to take the lead of key discipline’sconstruction. They are also required to be excellent in teaching,good results are expected.

3.     Distinguished professor and chair professor’s academic abilitiesand achievements should be at same level with those for “OrientalScholar”.
