Junior Business Development Manager
(Shanghai)
The successful candidate will be based in our Shanghai office.
Responsibilities:
- Be an integral part of the business development team to help drive our China strategy
- Develop and maintain solid external relationships with brokers, vendors and custodians
- Assist with tasks including but not limited to opening trading/clearing/bank accounts, preparing agreements, regulatory returns and other documents. This will require travel within Shanghai and on occasions other cities within China.
- Act as a consultant regarding all aspects related to Finance, Legal and Compliance.
- Work with the Technology team to ensure business requirements are understood and act as a central point of contact to assist with any queries requiring external input
- Ultimately, lead business development strategies from initiation through to launch, including completion of the required documentation, and engaging with all required internal and external stakeholders
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to have a hands on role helping to establish our company's presence in China.
What are we looking for:
- At least 1-2 years working experience in China stock/futures/commodities markets. An ambitious finance/economics graduate with a strong academic background with minimal experience will also be considered for this role
- Background in Operations /consultancy /asset management/compliance/tax
- Can do attitude with the motivation and drive to push forward initiatives. You will have lots of energy and thrive being busy and learning new things
- Good knowledge of operational and regulatory requirements in China
- Good interpersonal and communication skills inEnglish, both written and verbal
- Native/fluentChinese (Mandarin)
