About us :

Major Projects (MP) is KONE’s global team of experts dedicated to our customers’ most challenging projects. MP is a one-stop shop for our customers working with large and complex projects like high-rise buildings, airports, metro stations, large medical facilities, stadiums and ships.

KONE Major Project Engineering & Supply (E&S) provides tenders, technical solutions, and supply chain for KONE Major Projects on a global basis. By delivering unique solutions for most demanding customers together with KONE Country Organizations Engineering & Supply helps KONE to achieve its business objectives in line with KONE Major Project Strategy

We are looking for:

Tender Engineer to be located in China, Kunshan
KONE Grade: 5

Purpose: As a tender engineer, you would be responsible for supporting customer solution team and front line to meet MP business targets during different Sales funnel phases. Focus areas are pricing, specification optimization, value engineering and project level engineering.
Main responsibilities:

  • Communicate internally to perform clarification of the customer’s specification with FL.
  • Perform price estimation for tender submission within agreed lead time.
  • Perform final price confirmation based on latest customer’s specification.
  • VO material quotation to project team.
  • Check the non-standard technical solution with Engineering and Frontline.
  • Coordinate with project engineering when necessary
  • Promote internal team work and 5S activity.
  • Tendering process improvement and optimizing.

Skills, Education and Experience (English):

  • Bachelor degree, engineering background is preferred
  • 2-3 years work experience, preferably in elevator industry
  • Good command in Office software
  • Experience with AutoCAD would be counted as additional value.
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Proactive and can handle tasks independently.
  • Good communication skill
  • Strong sense of team work and be adept in studying
