Sales and marketing assistant (m/f)
Studio CQ in Guangzhou is the representative office of Studio CQ in Netherlands. We are an international operating company who are specialized in industrial product design and engineering. Most of the conceptual designs are made in Netherlands. The Chinese team is involved in the technical communication with manufacturers and is responsible for the sales and marketing towards our Asian clientele. We work with/for Chinese manufacturers for over 10 years and expect to become one of the biggest foreign design agencies in Guangdong province. We want to increase our design services for the Chinese market.
For the office in Guangzhou we are looking for a sales and marketing assistant who is responsible for the acquisition of new/potential clients and does the follow up of projects with existing customers. You’ll arrange meetings and doing the translation for the CEO. On a regular base you’ll attend on meetings individually or do networking activities. You’ll be responsible for updating the Chinese part of the website and news items and find new ways to attract new clientele. Once and a while you’ll attend on fairs to promote our company. You’ll be responsible for all inquiries and the follow up of quotations.
Next to the commercial activities you’ll assist with some common daily activities. Arrange shipments or transportation, book tickets and do some business management. You report to the CEO’s.
Understanding and interest of industrial design and the Western market, consumer and trends is a pre.
Activities:
· Document and improve our customer database
· On regular base you contact and visit existing customers to maintain and improve the business relation
· Organize or participate in marketing events, process the results and take care of the follow up. You evaluate the results and report to higher management.
· Individually make quotations and negotiate about the conditions.
· Individually make company presentations
· Research new business opportunities for the Chinese market, write a business plan and
· Maintain, evaluate and improve media exposure, including
o Company website(s)
o New (social) media like WeChat, Weibo, and for example LinkedIn.
o Find ways to expose the company and its activities in magazines and on television.
· Follow up the complete design project, from intake to presentation.
· Brief the design team in Netherlands about the project requirements and you monitor the deadlines.
Requirements:
1. A mayor and bachelor degree in international business or marketing
2. Fluent English skills, oral and in writing. CET 6 or higher.
3. Fluently speak and write Cantonese and Mandarin.
4. Strong communication skills and problem solving ability.
5. Willingly to do individual travel
6. Is prepared to work hard at flexible times
7. Excellent understanding with the following computer programs:
a. Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
