Opens at the International Joint Research Laboratory of Earth*** Engineering (ILEE)

 

The International Joint Research Laboratory of Earth*** Engineering (ILEE) is a multi-institutional research center chiefly founded and daily managed by Tongji University (CHN), partnered with University of California, Berkeley (USA), University of Pavia (ITA), and Tokyo Institute of Technology (JPN). The ILEE major research goal is the earth*** resilient city (society).

Job description: Executive Director

Location: Tongji University, Shanghai, China

Salary: RMB 700,000/year before tax

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Fixed (3 years), Effective as of November 1, 2015

Overview:

The Executive Director is responsible for the daily operation and management of the ILEE administrative team, ensuring it to become a world-class and effective team for the mission ILEE research and educational programs.

Reports to: The Directors and Associate-Directors of ILEE

Responsible for: Administration Office Staff, Lab Secretaries, Research Center Secretaries

Key Objectives:

1. Constructs the ILEE information release and sharing platform;

2. Originates and publishes the guidelines and information about international research cooperation funds, project applications, and assessments;

3. Recruits international faculties;

4. Recruits international doctoral graduates and post-doctoral researchers;

5. Develops the ILEE international cooperation system, and to admits new institutions to membership in the ILEE.

Specifically Desirable Experience and Knowledge for the Position:

1. At the age of 35~45;

2. Associate Professor or Professor of world famous universities;

3. Fluent Communication in English;

4. Experience of international collaboration;

5. Experience in earth*** engineering experiments and simulations.
