Applications are invited to fill several teaching vacancies in the following subjects:

 

· Group 1 & 2 (Language Arts Faculty): English Language. English Literature, Bahasa Indonesia Language,

· Group 3 (Humanities Faculty): Geography, Business Studies and Economics,

· Other groups: Information Technology, Physical Education

· School IT Support Group:  IT Support Engineers (Website / Network / Servers)

For Directors / Deans positions:

 

Our school offers Cambridge IGCSE for Middle School students and either GCE Advanced Level or International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) for High School students. As such, the Dean of Faculty must be familiar and experienced with the requirements and standards of the various subjects courses available. He/she is also expected to teach the subjects at IBDP HL/SL standard.

 

The Dean reports to the Principal and Deputy Principal, and serves as a resource for students, parents, and faculty. He/she assumes responsibility for overseeing students’ life, faculty budget, administrative functions, and providing strategic leadership on academic policies and programs.

 

As the Dean, he/she ensures the highest standards of learning, achievement, and development for all students through clear and effective leadership of the Faculty staff.

 

Qualifications and Key Competencies:

 

The Dean of Faculty:

· Hold at least a Bachelor degree or higher degree in relevant subject’s area.

· Have a clear knowledge and understanding of the curriculum in Cambridge IGCSE, GCE ‘A’ Levels, and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

· Demonstrate high level classroom management with a wide range of teaching skills.

· Demonstrate high level inter-personal skills enabling effective team leadership.

· Have the ability to evaluate the work of others and enable their development through consultation, coaching, and support.

· Have the ability to analyze data and information, identify patterns and trends.

· Have the ability to formulate strategies for improved learning from the analysis of data.

For Subject Teacher, typical tasks that may be carried out include:

· classroom management such as discipline, cleanliness and;

· lesson plans and delivering lessons to a range of classes and age groups;

· conduct remedial lessons for weaker students;

· Form teachers duty and evening class duties;

· preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises;

· marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written assignment;

· preparing of SOW, devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources;

· organising and getting involved in social and cultural activities such as sports competitions, school activities, excursions, local and overseas education trips ;

· attending and contributing to training and sharing sessions;

· participating in students recruitment for the school;

· basic administration, such as preparing report books, class register and attendance records.

Requirements:

 

Appointments will be for Academic Year starting on 1st September 2015 to 30th June 2016 in a Top Private School in Shunde, Guangdong, PRC.

 

· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Doctorate (PhD), in any field.

· Qualified teachers will have an advantage although training will also be provided for selected candidates.

· Chinese Nationals who are graduates and returning from overseas are welcome as training will be provided.

· Experience in teaching IGCSE, GCE "O", IBDP and GCE "A" Level.

· At least 1 year(s) of teaching experience in the related subject is required for this position.

· 10 - 15 Full-Time and Contract position(s) available.
